[Los Angeles, Calif.] – 8020 Consulting (“8020”), a leading accounting and finance consulting firm, announces the appointment of Kellen Smith as its Chief Operating Officer. With a distinguished background spanning various leadership and financial roles, Smith brings a wealth of expertise in driving strategic growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining 8020, Smith served as the Chief Financial Officer and EVP Operations of Point B, a PE-backed management consulting firm. During her tenure at Point B, she played a pivotal role in establishing scalable finance, accounting and operational functions, while partnering with the executive team to drive the company’s vision and strategy.
Before her role at Point B, Smith held the position of President at U.S. Legal Support, Inc. (“USLS”), previously serving as the Chief Financial Officer. Her strategic vision and financial acumen were instrumental in driving profitability and positioning USLS as a leader in its industry. Under her leadership, the company experienced exceptional growth, with revenue growing by approximately 400%, including the completion of approximately 25 acquisitions. Notably, Smith also led the company through a successful private equity transaction.
